GOD’S PLAN

God has a plan for every life,
   For yours as well as mine
And each swift year of worldly strife
   Is in that plan divine.
We cannot see we may not know
   What His great plan may be
But where He leads if we but go,
   Some day His plan we’ll see.
Sometimes we cannot understand
   Why He should lead us thus
But if we firmly grasp His hand
   We’ll see ‘twas best for us.
The way may often thorny be,
   And rough the path you tread;
Fear not, it is God’s plan for thee,
   Lift up thy weary head.
How careful then our walk must be,
   Lest in some trying hour,
We mar, for all eternity,
   God’s plan-like some crushed flower.
